Summer is here which means that your skin will be exposed to scorching heat and humidity, This can rob the skin off from the natural softness. Following tips can make your skin glow in summer.
- Follow daily cleansing procedure. First exfoliate your skin using a scrub. This will remove the dirt. Then apply cleanser and massage GENTLY on circular motions to increase the flow of blood. Then wash your face with gentle face wash.
- Use homemade cleansers such as honey and yogurt mixed together. These are cheap and gentle and can be used daily. If your skin is oily simply use honey alone.
- Drinks lots and lots of water to keep the skin hydrated. Hydrated skin is healthy, supple and keeps glowing. It is detoxifying and cleanses the skin naturally by removing dirt and impurities.
- Toning after the cleansing procedure is very important and must be followed. As the name suggest it makes your skin tone even and glowing. It gets rid of dead skin cells and keeps in the proper amount of moisture needed in summer for the skin. It maintains the Ph. of the skin to keep it glowing and healthy. One of the best toner is a homemade remedy! Simply use rose water as a toner .Nothing is better.
- When there is a lot of sunlight, it sucks out the moisture, hence it is very important to keep the skin moisturized. This has to be done at night before sleeping or otherwise your skin will feel to stick throughout the day. Use water based moisturizer in peak and humid summer.
- Do not take very long warm showers. Use normal and mixed water with a greater percentage of cool water. Another great tip is to stand in warm water for two minutes and then turn it to cold. This increases blood circulation and makes the skin flush.
- Take a lot of care of your diet. Include soy beans, milk, yogurt, fruits and lots of veggies in the diet. Take a lot of sugar free juices to keep the skin hydrated and healthy. Drink lots of water. Avoid oily and heavy foods throughout the simmer and steer clear from nuts , fried food, fish and chocolates. Take multivitamins or vitamin c supplements as they keep skin glowing. Drink lots of green ta as well. This will not only keep skin healthy but also keep your body clean and help in losing weight.
- Get a proper sleep, at least 8-9 hours every day. Take a nap of an hour 30 minutes after lunch. Getting proper sleep is called beauty sleep for a reason.
- Get proper exercise and yoga. Exercise increases circulation of blood and gives skin a healthy glow. Same is the case with yoga. Yoga relaxes the mind and body, which includes your skin.
- Always carry a parasol , umbrella or hat when going out in the sun, Direct exposure can burn skin and take away the natural glow.
